David Rowe

Director & Executive Producer

After graduating Williams College in 2002 with a degree in Economics, David worked various production jobs before landing a full-time gig with upstart production company Red Line Films working on Who’s #1?, a featured series as a part of ESPN’s 25th Anniversary celebration. Fast-forward a year and a half and David became the show runner on 39 episodes of Season 2 of Who’s #1?. While still at Red Line Films, David worked on various long-form television shows for ESPN, ABC and Fox Sports, headed multiple advertising campaigns for various brands and oversaw the Six Flags advertising campaign and all of its in-park content from 2006-2010.

In 2011, David and his then colleague Erik Hartman decided to go off on their own and together start Moonshot Productions. Over the last decade and a half at Moonshot and prior at Red Line Films, David has directed and produced broadcast content with the biggest names in sports, entertainment and business including Michael Jordan, Chadwick Boseman, Diane Von Furstenberg, Yvon Chouinard, Bill Murray, Hugh Hefner, Macklemore and Ashley Graham.

Though David’s celebrity collaboration list is long and he feels at home working with those of great fame or professional expertise, he equally enjoys getting an authentic on-screen performance out of real people who may not have been in front of camera before. Giving a documentary style production a commercial quality feel is a place of passion for David and the team at Moonshot.

David works out of NYC and currently resides at the Jersey Shore with his wife and two children.
